Authentic Transparency Commitment:
Descriptions of Active Ingredient Composition
A challenge that currently exists in the industry is that there is little consistency in how brands describe the ingredients in their products and even less consensus on what the different terms actually mean. For example, brands use the term “food-based” to describe synthetic nutrients in a “base” of food powder, to describe synthetic nutrients cultured in yeast, or to describe nutrients derived from natural food sources. Similarly, depending on the brand, “whole-food” can refer to minimally-processed [whole] food powders, full-spectrum concentrates, or even standardized extracts.
With so many terms being tossed around in the supplement industry, it is all too easy for consumers to get confused about what’s what. At NutriGold, we want to be clear and consistent in our use of the terms (e.g. standardized extract, whole-food, food-based) and we want you to be clear as well. So, please find below clarification on the terms we use to describe the ingredients in our products.
